Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Smak Ads collects when you join our waitlist, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
The website smakads.com and the waitlist are run by Pavel Varbanov, an individual based in Bulgaria. For data protection law (GDPR and UK GDPR), I am the “controller” of your data. You can reach me at pavel@smakads.com.
What we collect
When you join the list, we collect:
- Your email address
- Whether you joined as a creator or a brand
- When you joined, and which version of this policy you agreed to
We don’t collect anything else about you. We don’t use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics on this site.
Google Cloud, which hosts the site (see below), automatically records standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser details. They are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for 30 days.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your email to send you one email, when Smak Ads launches. We use your creator-or-brand answer so we know what to tell you. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us, and we’ll delete your data.
We use server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
We don’t sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
How long we keep it
We delete your email and the rest of your waitlist data 30 days after we send the launch email. If you ask us to delete it earlier, we will.
Who we share it with
We use one service provider to run the site. It processes data only on our behalf, under Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of our agreement with Google:
- Google Cloud hosts the website and stores the waitlist in a database located in the European Union (Belgium).
Because Google is a US-headquartered company, some data may be accessed from outside the European Economic Area and the UK. Where that happens, it is covered by safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and, for the UK, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum). We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
Your rights
Under GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- get a copy of the data we hold about you
- have it corrected
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive it in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email pavel@smakads.com. We’ll respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Bulgaria, that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg). If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can contact your local authority. In the UK, it is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
California residents
We don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising. You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, or to delete it, by emailing the address above.
Children
Smak Ads is not meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has joined the list, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
